Auto-Enrolment – Supporting you and your employees

AUTO-ENROLMENT (AE)– THE STORY SO FAR Auto-enrolment (AE) is a new retirement savings system for employees that will be introduced on 1st January 2026. A new public body, the National Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority (NAERSA), will administer the scheme under the supervision of the Pensions Authority. Called ‘My Future Fund’, under auto-enrolment the employee, employer, and Government all pay a certain amount into the employee’s pension fund. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR MY COMPANY? All companies with employees in Ireland, regardless of size or structure, are obliged to facilitate the auto-enrolment scheme for employees who meet the eligibility criteria and for those who wish to opt in.
